Strong Alliance, Breakthrough on the Blockchain | NINGKE, in collaboration with the National Key Laboratory of the China Textile Academy, is pooling resources to overcome the critical bottleneck in achieving domestic substitution for high-performance imported long-chain carbon nylon.

On the afternoon of June 29, NINGKE Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “NINGKE”) and the China Textile Science Research Institute Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “CTSI”) held a signing ceremony at CTSI’s headquarters in Beijing for the “Industry–University–Research Cooperation Agreement on High-Performance Long-Chain Nylon Materials.” Representing NINGKE were Director Liu Xirong, Deputy General Managers Li Zhongfu, Qu Xiaochun, and Liu Anjian; representing CTSI were Director, Party Secretary, and General Manager Ma Yongmei, Chief Expert on Advanced Materials and Executive Deputy Director of the All‑Weight Laboratory Xu Jigang, along with other key technical personnel. Invited government officials—including Wang Zhenxing, Deputy District Mayor of Huinong District, Shizuishan City; Ding Yong, Director of the Economic Development Bureau of the Municipal Economic Development Zone; and Li Bo, Director of the Huinong District Science and Technology Bureau—attended the ceremony to witness the signing.

Dual-engine drive, gathering momentum to thrive: NINGKE and HeTan ChuangWu have officially signed the contract for the 4,000-ton-per-year DHA algal oil project.

Recently, at a science and technology achievement promotion and technology demand-matching event in Shizuishan City, NINGKE Biotechnology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “NINGKE”) and Qingdao HeTan Chuangwu Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “HeTan Chuangwu”) officially signed a cooperation agreement. The two parties will jointly establish a joint venture with Hainan Haizhiyuan Life Science Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Haizhiyuan”) to advance the first-phase project for the construction of a new facility with an annual output of 4,000 tons of DHA (docosahexaenoic acid), laying the groundwork for future, larger-scale DHA and EPA projects. This collaboration marks a pivotal step for NINGKE in the field of applying long-chain organic acids to the high-end nutritional and health ingredients industry.

Breakthrough in the catalytic synthesis of azelaic acid may reshape the azelaic acid market.

In March 2026, Liaocheng University publicly disclosed a patent for “Catalytic Synthesis of Azelaic Acid Using Cr₂O₃‑Loaded Porous Materials.” The technology is currently undergoing small‑scale pilot testing in Shandong, laying the technical groundwork for subsequent large‑scale domestic industrial production. Azelaic acid is a saturated dicarboxylic acid that appears as white flaky crystals at room temperature and possesses key characteristics such as amorphous structure, high flexibility, and excellent hydrolytic stability, making it a versatile intermediate in coatings, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and other sectors. In the coatings industry, its overall performance surpasses that of adipic and sebacic acids; however, due to its relatively high cost and unstable supply, it has long been undervalued. With recent breakthroughs in domestic manufacturing processes and the gradual ramp-up of production capacity, azelaic acid is now poised for large‑scale industrial application.

On December 19, reporters learned from the Shizuishan Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology that the pilot‑scale platform for bio‑based long‑chain carbon materials operated by Ningxia Zhongke Bio‑New Materials Co., Ltd. has recently been approved as a three‑star national-level demonstration platform for biomanufacturing pilot‑scale capabilities, jointly launched by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the National Development and Reform Commission. To date, the platform has provided services to seven biomanufacturing enterprises, successfully facilitating the scale‑up of nine laboratory‑developed technologies; among these, three have already entered industrial production.
