Building a Full Industrial Chain and Constructing a New Materials Science and Technology Industrial Park: Mayang Hosts a Technical Product Exchange Event for Bio-based New Materials Industry Chain—Wanxiang.
Hongwang Times, Huaihua, October 19 (Reporter Liu Dun, Correspondents Gong Sen and Teng Xuehui) — On October 17, the Wanxiang Technology Product Exchange Event for the Maoyang Bio-based New Materials Industry Chain was held in the Maoyang Industrial Development Zone. Leaders from bio-based new materials companies across the country and experts from research institutes attended the event.
On that day, the leaders and guests attending the event visited Hunan Wanxiang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., where they gained firsthand insights into the company’s development journey, its qualifications and honors, and its equipment and production lines. They also expressed high appreciation for the company’s advanced production processes and the latex products it manufactures.
During the exchange event, leaders and guests listened to briefings on Maoyang’s economic and social development as well as the planning and development of Maoyang’s new science and technology industrial park. The head of a bio-based new materials enterprise delivered a speech on how to build a complete industrial chain. Experts from research institutes offered constructive suggestions and advice on the prospects of bio-based new materials under the “dual-carbon” framework, the integration of industry, academia, and research in the new materials sector, and the establishment of industrial chains.
“Mayang enjoys a superior geographic location, and the Huaihua International Land Port can directly connect with ASEAN to import raw materials, effectively reducing costs. From a technical standpoint, the deproteinized latex boasts outstanding quality and meets international standards, making it highly competitive even on the global market,” said Lu Ming, a PhD, senior engineer, and graduate supervisor at the Materials Research Institute of Beijing Rubber Industry Design and Research Institute Co., Ltd. He added that the cost itself is highly competitive, making it extremely attractive to downstream enterprises.
“In the future, we’ll not only expand our presence in the medical field but also further extend our reach into the aerospace and new-energy sectors, thereby building Mayang Latex Town,” said Song Qingshan, Party Secretary of the Mayang Industrial Development Zone. Looking ahead, Mayang will continue to leverage its advantages as the Huaihua International Land Port, keep enhancing the “Wanxiang” brand, attract leading enterprises and top players in the latex industry, and scale up and strengthen Mayang’s bio-based industrial chain. We’re fully committed to developing Mayang into a new-type materials and technology industrial park.
In recent years, Mayang has vigorously promoted the bio-based new materials industry, achieving development from scratch, scaling up from small beginnings, and expanding from isolated initiatives to a comprehensive industrial chain. Mayang will take this exchange meeting as an opportunity to regard the robust development of the bio-based new materials industry as a key driver for implementing the new development philosophy and building a new development pattern. It will continue to optimize the business environment, provide strong support to enterprises across the upstream and downstream segments of the industrial chain, accelerate the promotion and application of high-purity, deproteinized natural latex products, and strive to build itself into a world-leading major base for the bio-based new materials industry.
“At this exchange meeting, we aim to let the market guide our future research directions as well as the expansion plans for Phase II,” said Zhou Yaqin, Chairperson and General Manager of Hunan Wanxiang New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. She added that the company’s first-phase focus on high-end medical-grade deproteinized latex has been ongoing for over two years, and it has consistently maintained stable production and supply to downstream customers. “Next, we will concentrate our efforts on exploring the applications of the latex industry in fields such as aerospace, tires, and new energy. We’ll promptly develop new products of superior quality, expand the latex industry chain, and contribute further to the construction of the Mayang New Materials Science and Technology Industrial Park.”
